Outdoor Living

Patios, pergolas, outdoor kitchens, and fireplaces.

The backyard designed as one space — patio, cover, kitchen, fireplace, seating, fence — instead of a slab, a grill, and some grass.

Built for Texas sun, soil, and storms.

We design and build the yard as a whole: travertine, paver, and concrete patios; pergolas and covered patios tied into the house correctly; outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and fire pits in brick and stone; seating walls and lighting; cedar fences on steel posts; and the drainage and grading that keeps all of it dry. Our crew does the hardscape, carpentry, and masonry; licensed trades handle gas and electrical. Building a pool? See our Pools page.

Questions

Gas is cleaner and starts with a switch; wood gives you the real fire and crackle. Gas needs a licensed plumber for the line — we include it in the quote.

Usually yes for anything attached to the house, anything with a roof, and gas lines; freestanding pergolas vary by city. We check before we price.

Travertine stays cooler underfoot and looks higher-end; pavers are easy to repair; concrete costs less and goes faster. We bring samples to the estimate.

Steel. Wood posts rot at grade in DFW soil; galvanized steel in concrete is the difference between a 7-year fence and a 20-year fence.
